I teach media design at Parsons in the Communication Design & Technology department across both undergraduate (BFA) and graduate (MFA) programs. I live in Brooklyn, New York with my wife.
This site performs a classical web function: a hypertext archive. It serves to collect and organize my research and thoughts as a semantic network of writings, research trails, and links. This idea inspired by the Memex:
Memex is the word that we should have started using instead of this ugly word “blog.” Ugh.
It will also serve to collect and organize my projects and courses. I haven’t really started publishing that part yet. In effect, I will be back-posting previous projects to archive and organize my commercial and institutional work of the past 10 years in the area of interaction design and creative technology.
I do appreciate your interest, the meantime. Thanks.
The best way to figure me out is to read some entries or scan my tags↑
I’m currently:
Documenting and reflecting upon my recent faculty exchange in Beijing↔
Developing this site.
Don’t worry. I’m over the Boards of Canada↔ obsession.
